Welcome to the Monash University Library website. From its humble beginnings in 1960 in a room in the Vice Chancellor's house, the Monash University Library has grown to become one of Australia's leading academic libraries, with multiple locations and a collection of more than 2.8 million items.The services and resources that the library provides are the bedrock on which the Monash community builds its high standard of learning, teaching and research. The library is the heart of the university.

That is why library staff work to continually improve what the library can offer the staff and students of Monash, and the communities we are a part of. Please take the time to explore and discover the range of quality resources and services on offer.
