Introductory workshops for new postgraduates

An introduction to library services for new postgraduate students in Business, Education and Arts faculties followed by an optional tour.
Topics covered include: overview of library services; Monash University Library catalogue; full text journal articles; Guides to resources in your subject area; Using online databases.

SmartSearch: the library catalogue

All new students and staff are invited to an introduction to the library catalogue. How to find books, journals, reserve material and more! Session 1 hour, with time for hans-on practice. Book online via my.monash, Library tab or ring 990-55054.

Introduction to EndNote

Learn how to organise your citations or references in a database and create bibliographies automatically. The class will cover building an Endnote library manually and through importing references from Library databases; working with appropriate citation styles in Microsoft Word.
