The Monash University Library information research programme includes both introductory library orientation sessions and research skills tutorials.

A welcome to the library, designed to give you a physical orientation and head start.  Followed by an optional challenge. (approx. 15 minutes)

Sessions of interest for postgraduates

A series of workshops in which we demonstrate resources of particular interest to postgraduates and give you time for hands on practice. For all of the following sessions, book online via my.monash or ring 990-55054.

Introduction to EndNote

Discover how to use EndNote to organise your references and to create bibliographies automatically. Learn how to build an EndNote library manually and by importing references from Library databses. Work with appropiate citation styles for your discipline, and learn how to apply the styles in Word documents. Minimum 6 bookins required for class to run..

Using Microfilm and Microfiche Collections for Research

Search the library's research collections of microfilm and microfiche. Use the microfilm scanners. Learn to digitise microfilm pages, print and download images.

Finding theses in the humanities and social sciences
