About the Author
Dr Brian Costar is Associate Professor of Politics at Monash University. His research interests include Australian political parties, elections, rural and regional politics and constitutionalism. Dr Costar has edited/co-edited many books including For Better or for Worse: The Federal Coalition (1994).
Dr Nick Economou is a lecturer in politics in the School of Political and Social Inquiry at Monash University. His research interests are in Australian politics. Dr Economou has also had extensive experience as a media commentator on Australian politics.
