Book description
Reefscape is a thought-provoking exploration of the nature
and significance of reef, in particular the Great Barrier Reef of Australia,
listed as World Heritage. Rosaleen Love offers an exhilarating
tour of it, both above and below the glinting surface. We glimpse the
Reef anew, through other world views - of mariners, pearlers, naturalists,
filmmakers, poets and others. Her insights from history and science,
her own diving and lively personal reflections illuminate the meaning of the
human encounter with nature.
Reefscape inspires delight, imagination and spirit in all who yearn
for the transcendence of turquoise waters - whether ready with goggles or
from a comfortable armchair.
