Book description

Beyond Babel is a follow-up and extension to Felix's 1998 publication Virtual Language Learning: Finding the Gems Amongst the Pebbles. Her aim is to alert language teachers to the resources available to them on the WWW and give suggestions as to how websites can be incorporated into teaching. The publication includes case and research studies and categorised and annotated descriptions of around 600 websites.

About the Author

Uschi Felix is a Professor in the Faculty of Arts at Monash University. She is director of the Faculty of Arts IT centre and the Associate Dean of Educational Technologies. Professor Felix is Director of Language Australia Ltd. and on the editorial Board of the Journal for Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL).
