Book description
OSCEs form the major part of the examinations for trainees, from
medical students to specialist level. The candidate is led through a
clinical scenario and then assessed on examination, history taking,
investigation, diagnosis and management. Practising OSCEs with a
teacher or facilitator is the ideal, but unequal or insufficient access to
this resource can leave examination candidates unprepared for the OSCE exam,
and they may perform poorly compared with written examinations. This
book includes invaluable advice and tips on passing the OSCE as well as 60
practice cases, each with a sample marking scheme, a discussion and a key
points/pitfalls section.
