Book description
With international tourism already expanding significantly, a
solid understanding of the influence of national cultures on tourist
behaviour has become more crucial than ever before. This
understanding, and the identification of cultural differences and
similarities among international tourist markets, significantly improves
social contact between international tourists and local hosts; enhancing
tourist satisfaction and generating repeat visitation.
It is vital for tourism students and practitioners to learn, understand, and
respect the influence of national culture on human behaviour. With
objectives, exercises, case studies, discussion points and further reading
in every chapter, it provides comprehensive coverage of cross-cultural
issues within tourism, so that current and future tourism professionals will
be well equipped to make informed strategic decisions.
