This volume provides a world-wide view of the history and the current conditions of engineering education quality assurance. It provides the first wide-ranging picture of quality assurance schemes from essentially every continent and the issues related to their development and implementation. In addition, a generic engineering education quality assurance model is described that synthesises all of the extant approaches and provides a structure for future development.

About the author
Arun S. Patil is Lecturer in Engineering at Central Queensland University. He completed a Masters in Electrical Engineering at Monash University in 2004 and recently a PhD on quality assurance in engineering education in the Dept. of Engineering at Monash.
