Compiled as a public enquiry database and will serve as a source of taxonomic and biological information on all animal species known to occur in Australia. It incorporates the data from the terminated Zoological Catalogue of Australia database project. Includes search interface plus taxonomic grouping and hierarchical checklists to families found or believed to occur in Australia. The checklists, with links to associated data, act as a guide to the heirarchy and as a means to access data.
