Emerald
There is no Direct Export function in Emerald. Use a filter
file to import the chosen references. This involves two steps:
In Emerald, select references and create a text file
In Search Results list:
- Check the boxes of the references that you wish to download
- Click the Go button to the right of Add
to the marked list:..
- Click Marked List (in the left of the screen) to
display marked items.
- Click Download (ASCII)
- When new window opens, use your browser's 'Save As' function to save
records as a Text Document (*.txt)
In EndNote, select filter file, import the text file
- Open the library you want to add the references to
- In the toolbar, click File > Import. The Import
dialog box will open
- Click Choose File, find the .txt file you created,
and click Open
- Click the Import Option dropdown arrow; then in
the list, Other Filters.
- To locate the Emerald filter file in the filter file list, in Quick
Search, type: emerald and press Enter.
Highlight Emerald, then click Choose
- Click Import in the dialog box. The references should
be transferred into the open library.
