Statistics, Census of Housing and PopulationThe Census is the only complete count of the Australian population. It provides the most accurate statistical information on topics such as birthplace, income, occupation, age, family structure, types of dwellings, average mortgage payments etc. The information is available at different geographic levels sometimes as detailed as collection districts of approximately 100 houses.
