Food, drink, noise and mobile phones in Hargrave-Andrew Library

Please be considerate of your fellow users and observe the following guidelines:

  • Mobile phones should be set to vibrate or silent, and switched off in quiet study areas.
  • Cold snack food is allowed throughout the library, except in reserve and special collections, near computers and in quiet study areas.
  • Covered drinks (with lids) are allowed throughout the library except in reserve and special collections and near computers.
  • A moderate level of noise is permitted throughout the library except in quiet study areas and during the lead-up to exams.

Library users who do not comply with these guidelines may be asked to leave the library. In exceptional cases, a disciplinary hearing may follow.
