Who, Where, What, What not, How? Inter-Campus Loans
The University Library has introduced a new service for staff
and postgraduates, this is inter-campus loans. An intercampus
loan involves the loan of items held anywhere within the
Monash University Library System. As you will appreciate some
restrictions and conditions do apply. The service relates to
material held at Caulfield, Clayton or Frankston Campuses and
in various hospital; libraries. Intercampus loans are
available to all staff and postgraduates at the Caulfield,
Clayton and Frankston Campuses. Special arrangements with
Gippsland will remain for the present.
Eligible users may request an intercampus loan of :-
- items not held by their home campus library
- items deemed missing by their home campus library
- photocopies of articles from journals or journals only held
on full text databases which are not held at the home campus
library.
The necessary restrictions and conditions applied to this
service are as follows.
The types of materials that cannot be lent out are:-
- reserve, short loan or overnight material including videos
- items not available for "check out" such as reference books
Materials available in libraries on the Clayton campus will
not be transferred between buildings.
- normal copyright restrictions apply
- users submitting many requests may be asked to prioritise
them.
To request an intercampus loan you will need to complete an
Intercampus loan form. These can be obtained at the loans
counter or information desk in any branch library.
