'LiveHelp' available online for library users
An innovative 'on-line chat' help service is now available for students and staff who need quick answers when using library resources or services. "Qualified reference librarians will guide you through complicated web, catalogue or database searches or offer help with specific research questions," said Senior Reference Librarian, Averil Dent. "The biggest benefit of the service for library users is the immediacy of getting an answer when they need it," Ms Dent said. The service, a pilot project which commenced in October 2002, will continue until November 2003. "Demand will determine continuation of the service as well as define what hours the service is offered." "So far we have received a really diverse range of queries from all sorts of library users and are looking forward to finding out what demand will be like during semester." LiveHelp is available from 11am to 5pm Monday to Friday. 28 February, 2003 current news : 2008 : 2007 : 2006 : 2005 : 2004 : 2003 : 2002 : pre-2002 Ask a question Phone +61 3 9905 5054 or use our enquiry services ask.monash for Monash students and staff | ask.monash for visitors, or online chat. |
