Law Library to trial longer opening hours
The Law Library on the Clayton Campus will be trialling extended opening hours this year in response to requests from post-graduate law students. The 2003 trial will see the Law Library open an additional six weekends during semester breaks over the course of the year. Funding for the extended hours will be met by the Faculty of Law, which is keen to support students taking courses that require study activities to continue through traditional 'break periods'. "Some law courses, particularly post-graduate law courses, require intensive study, and the need for access to library facilities doesn't go away between semesters," said Law Library Manager, Lisa Smith. "Supporting law students in their studies is a common goal of faculty and library staff, so we work closely together to achieve this," said Ms Smith.
