The service desk, which is in the Matheson Library Annexe, provides students with assistance for IT issues such as passwords and computer accounts.

During semester break the service desk will be open from 10am to 2pm, while phone support is available by calling 9905 1777 from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

During semester the desk will operate from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, with phone support hours remaining the same.

“The benefit for Clayton students at is the ‘one-stop-shop’ service they will receive rather than trekking back and forth between buildings trying to resolve network authentication issues that arise when they attempt to access library services,“ said library information systems director, Janette Burke.

“We expect students will find this new location particularly convenient at the beginning of semester, for new students sorting out their IT and library access for the first time, and during exam periods, when it is crucial for students to get fast, easy access to study resources.”

“It makes sense for the library and ITS to work together more closely to provide services for students, and this is a step in that direction,” Ms Burke said.
