Library annual report online

The “2003 Annual Report of the University Librarian” is now online.

The report highlights major achievements for the year and provides statistics on the library collection and services.

University Librarian, Cathrine Harboe-Ree pointed out noteworthy developments in 2003 as including:

  • a 12.7 per cent increase in visits to the library;

  • a 135 per cent increase in hits to the library web site;

  • a 12.4 per cent increase in collection acquisitions funds;

  • negotiated access for alumni to library databases;

  • redevelopment of the library’s web site and library publications for staff and students;

  • increased hours of operation at Caulfield and Law libraries;

  • upgrades to facilities at several branches;

  • the appointment of an information literacy co-ordinator;

  • the establishment of an electronic print repository;

  • the completion of a quality review; and

  • increased collaboration with Information Technology Services
