Library customers can now ask.monash

All inquiries, comments, suggestions and feedback submitted online by library customers from Thursday 31 August, will be handled through the university’s “ask.monash” service.

As with the library’s previous email inquiry service, a link will be provided at the bottom of each library web page to direct customers to the ask.monash service where they can:
  • search answers to a range of frequently asked questions, or
  • submit an online inquiry.

Advantages of integrating the library’s email inquiry service into ask.monash include:

  • Frequently asked questions regarding the library and its services will be available online providing a quick and easy way for customers to find answers to queries.
  • Inquiries can be submitted 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • A detailed reporting system which will enable the library to monitor numbers and patterns of inquiries.

Until now ask.monash has been available exclusively to Monash University staff and students at Australian campuses and provides information across a range of areas including Student administration, Information technology, Human resources, Health, safety and environment, and Equity and diversity.

The library’s incorporation into ask.monash is the beginning of a new era for the service as for the first time a number of library-focused frequently asked questions will now be available for non Monash visitors on the public web site. Like Monash students and staff, these visitors also have the option to submit related online inquiries.
