Read the 2006 Library Annual Report online

The Monash University Library Annual Report 2006 highlights new developments including the opening of the redeveloped Berwick Library Learning and Commons, and tracks the year’s achievements in relation to the Library’s strategic plan. Other key developments reported include:

  • 55% increase over 2005 levels in the use of Library databases
  • Library visits over the year increased to more than 3.6 million
  • Planning for improved Library buildings continued at Parkville and for the overseas campuses
  • The ask.monash service was introduced allowing users to search frequently asked questions or lodge enquiries online
  • Opening hours for branch libraries were standardised and increased as a result of student feedback.
  • The ARROW project was used to support the University’s Mock Research Quality Framework (RQF) project
  • A research support plan was developed in support of the University’s renewed research focus
  • Continued efforts in partnership with teaching staff resulted in increased integration of information literacy programs into faculty courses.
