New copyright adviser for University

Dr Julie Burbidge will be acting as the Monash University Copyright Adviser for twelve months whilst Megan Deacon is on leave (returning in November 2008).

Julie Burbidge can provide advice on how to manage copyright across a broad range of areas and activities including: the production of teaching and learning resources, the creation of publications, the pursuit of research and the provision of library services.

She hopes to conduct regular information and open consultation sessions for faculty and divisional staff on each local campus throughout the next 12 months.  Staff are also welcome to drop in for a chat at the Copyright office, located within the Matheson Library building, first floor (room 123a).

Julie Burbidge has worked in the copyright field since 2003, starting as Copyright Adviser at Deakin University and progressing to the broader role of Content Quality Manager for Course Materials within Deakin's Knowledge Media Division.
