Exam preparation hours for students

The Library opens its doors for longer in the lead up to the exams to give students plenty of time for study.

Libraries at the Clayton campus offer extra weekend hours for exam preparation, starting on the weekend October 11-12. For four weekends Sir Louis Matheson, Hargrave-Andrew and Law Libraries will be open from 10am to 5pm on both Saturdays and Sundays to provide students with as much library access as possible.

Evening hours at Peninsula Library have been extended in the lead up to the exams this year as a trial in response to feedback from library users about exam preparation requirements. Peninsula Library will stay open until 9 pm on Monday to Thursday for the two weeks immediately before the exams:

  • Monday 13 October – Thursday 16 October 8.30 am - 9 pm
  • Monday 20 October – Thursday 23 October 8.30 am - 9 pm

Hours at other campus libraries remain unchanged for this period, as advertised on the library’s web site and library hours cards. Caulfield Library has the most student-friendly hours, being open until 12 midnight on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from now until the end of the exam period. On Saturdays Caulfield opens 10 am – 10 pm and from 10 am – 5 pm on Sundays. If you have any queries regarding the opening hours of the library on your campus, consult the opening hours page of the library’s web site, telephone 03 9905 5054, or contact your branch for more details.
