Importance of data management highlighted |
||
| There is a growing awareness of the need to manage
research data well throughout the life of a project and beyond, according to
Cathrine Harboe-Ree, Monash University Librarian. Rod Devenish, Deputy Director of the Monash Research Graduate School,
proposed ways in which Monash University could respond to the challenge of
research data management. He cited upcoming Monash Research Graduate School
activities such as inductions and the exPERT seminar series, which will
include research data management from 2009 onwards. Speaking from his own
experiences as a researcher, he also identified the changes that would be
needed for units and individual staff to make improvements to their data
management practices. 20 November 2008 current news : 2008 : 2007 : 2006 : 2005 : 2004 : 2003 : 2002 : pre-2002 Ask a question Phone +61 3 9905 5054 or use our enquiry services ask.monash for Monash students and staff | ask.monash for visitors, or online chat. |
