Are you after a TV news report from earlier this year?

In a world first of its type, subscription to the database TVNews provides Monash staff and students online access through the Library to full video of all news and current affairs broadcast on Australian free to air television. The video is usually available within two days of broadcast.

TVNews can be used to find news items broadcast on a particular date or on a particular program, and items range from 30 second video clips to one hour documentaries. Detailed synopses and abstracts of news items are provided.

The content is all indexed and, as an example, a search for "Monash University" brings up 157 videos from programs such as Ten 5pm News (Ten Melbourne), Catalyst (ABC Television) and Q & A (ABC Television). Coverage goes back to August 2007 and now includes all the capital cities' variations in content. TVNews is available from the Library databases page.
