Staff e-learning provision bolstered at Library |
||
| The Library’s learning skills staff and librarians work together and in collaboration with faculty staff to develop programs and activities supporting the learning and information research skills of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The role of e-learning within these programs and activities will be strengthened with the creation of a new position of e-Learning Coordinator in the Library. This position will enable a more integrated and coordinated approach to provision of e-learning activities in the suite of Library skills development programs and services. It is also hoped that it will lead to outcomes that facilitate learning across the wide range of students who study on and off campus. Steven Yates, who was appointed to the new position at the end of June, will coordinate development of e-learning activities and modules within the academic support provided by Library staff and the introduction of appropriate software initiatives. Steven's experience includes leadership and development of online, collaborative learning programs in the university and corporate sectors in Australia and overseas. He has taught both online and face to face at university and vocational levels in the areas of language learning and digital media, and has supervised higher degree students in digital media. 24 July 2009 current news : 2008 : 2007 : 2006 : 2005 : 2004 : 2003 : 2002 : pre-2002 Ask a question Phone +61 3 9905 5054 or use our enquiry services ask.monash for Monash students and staff | ask.monash for visitors, or online chat. |
