Publishing stalwart takes ePress helm |

| Dr Nathan Hollier has recently commenced as the new Manager of Monash University ePress. His appointment comes at an exciting time for the ePress, with technological developments in publishing, cultural shifts in the book reading and buying marketplace, and the opening up of new markets around the world for scholarly and other authors. Established in 2003, the ePress aims to capture, publish, retrieve, read and present scholarly material through electronic publishing. It publishes scholarly journals and books, both online and in print. Nathan has extensive experience in publishing, including as Founding President of the representative body for small and independent publishers in Australia, the Small Press Underground Networking Community (SPUNC Inc). He was previously the Research and Publications Coordinator at the Australia Research Institute, Curtin University, in which capacity he published more than 20 books. He was Editor of the cultural and literary magazine Overland for four years and Associate Editor for four years, prior to that appointment. He has considerable research experience, is a writer on various aspects of Australian culture and society, for a wide range of popular and scholarly forums, has organised conferences and festivals, been a member of Arts Victoria’s Creative Development Panel and a Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards judge. Nathan is a Monash alumnus with a BA Honours majoring in English, with minors in Politics and Economics, and an MA from the Department of Literary, Visual and Performance Studies.
