Berwick Library and Learning Commons

The Berwick Library and Learning Commons is the second refurbished library building incorporating the principles of the Facilities Master Plan. While on a smaller scale than the Hargrave-Andrew Library, the open plan design, colours, contemporary furniture and style of the new library and learning commons, follow the same format.

The new facility combines library services and information technology services and resources on one site. Features include:

  • New modern furniture, a bright, open plan layout, improved signage, and wireless access
  • Information on loans, resources, services and accounts is provided by a combined library and information technology services learning commons team from one information point
  • 68 new computers, including 54 for general use, 10 situated in the training room and five 'express' computers
  • An adaptive technology room for users with disabilities
  • A group discussion room.
