“It might be nice to have some staff wandering around the shelves to help you locate your books. I find this quite confusing sometimes and feel bad asking the people at the Information desk to come and help me. "

  • We understand the difficulties of using the library classification systems
There has been work done to reduce the number and complexity of the classification systems the Library uses but this remains a challenge in a large multi-disciplinary research collection. We encourage you to ask for assistance anytime.
  • We are planning to combine the ‘main’ and ‘undergraduate’ collections in the Matheson Library
We have developed a project plan and anticipate completion during 2010.
  • We are reviewing our processes for lost books and books reported missing, with a view to speeding up the replacement of sought items.
