The Body : an excellent resource for information on AIDS. This site has links to resources for getting help, to information about prevention and treatment, and to health care rights. You can even search for lists of AIDS help organizations in your city.

Earthtimes : includes environment, education, society, business, culture, media, nature, politics and population online news on a daily basis.

Healthy Cities : Among other things, the Healthy Cities Project helps community groups work on health access issues, and produces policy documents on health equity. This site also has links to many organizations, and to specific Health Cities projects in many parts of the world.

United Nations:

  • Human Development Reports published by United Nations Development Program (UNDP)
  • United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the largest internationally funded source of population assistance to developing countries. A large resource.
  • United Nations Population Information Network (POPIN), a huge resource which brings together current issues and directions from a UN perspective. It identifies and links to international conferences, documents and regional organisations involved in population studies

The IPS Daily Journal Online : Terraviva : is updated daily. It looks at UN activities in detail with a focus on issues related to sustainable development, population, women, children and the environment.

Population Index : is published quarterly by the Office of Population Research in Princeton, New Jersey. It indexes books, journal articles and working papers published from 1986 to the end of 2000. A tremendous resource for researching population topics worldwide.

WHO (World Health Organisation) : a huge resource which brings together current issues and directions from a UN perspective. It provides information on a range of documents dealing with health issues.
