  • Sociological abstracts is particularly useful for social theory; popular culture and women's studies. It indexes sociological literature from 1974.
  • Studies on women and gender abstracts online is a British database which links directly to the full text of some journals. All references include abstracts. It includes references from 1995 and is updated quarterly.
  • Contemporary women's issues is a multidisciplinary, full-text database that brings together relevant content from mainstream periodicals, "gray" literature and the alternative press -- with a focus on the critical issues and events that influence women's lives in more than 190 countries.
