  • APAIS : Australian public affairs information service (full text) indexes a wide range of scholarly periodical articles in the humanities and social sciences. APAIS is produced by the National Library of Australia. Subjects covered include Australian current affairs, economics, social, cultural and political affairs, legal literature. Coverage: Journal articles, book chapters, conference papers. Start date: 1978. Now has some full text articles.
  • FAMILY : Australian family & society abstracts database is produced by the Australian Institute of Family Studies and is an index to current Australian writing and research on the legal, sociological, psychological, economic and demographic situation of Australian children and adults. Contains: Journal articles, books, conference papers, research reports, statistical documents, bibliographies, and theses. Start date: 1980.

  • MAIS : multicultural Australia and immigration studies is Australia's major information source for multicultural and immigration issues. Produced by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Bureau of Immigration Research. Coverage: journal articles, books, reports, speeches, ministerial statements, selective newspaper articles from the English and ethnic press. Start date: 1988.
  • Australia's religious communities : a multimedia exploration provides an overview of religion in Australia including census and survey data, a religious timeline, historical and introductory information about the role of religion. For each religion in Australia there is historical and current information about beliefs, worship and practices, statistical data, relevant video clips, geographic distribution, biographies for further reading and more.
  • ELIXIR an Australian database indexing journal articles, books, theses, maps and other resources on conservation and land management issues.
  • MEDGE : management and environment information management database indexes literature on environmental management and environmental issues from 1985.
  • WORKLIT produced by the Department of Workplace Relations and Small Business indexes and abstracts articles on industrial relations and related topics.
  • AEI : Australian education index indexes and abstracts journal articles, theses, conference papers, newspaper articles and other sources on education and related topics from 1978 on.
  • CINCH : Australian criminology database produced by the Australian Institute of Criminology. It covers all aspects of the administration of criminal justice, crime and criminals, victims of crime, police and law enforcement, and corrections. It includes Journals, books, conference papers, research reports, information from newspapers, government documents, book reviews, theses. From 1968.
  • DRUG : drug database produced by the Alcohol and other Drugs Council of Australia (ADCA) in Canberra, is a bibliographic database that indexes articles from published and unpublished material on the psychosocial aspects of substance abuse since 1974. The index includes journals, bulletins, newsletters, weeklies and newspapers. Other sources include monograph chapters, conference proceedings, conference papers, research reports, discussion and position papers, theses, government documents, statistics, and unpublished material. Both Australian and overseas journals are sourced. All major Australian and international drug and alcohol journals have been comprehensively indexed into the database since May 1987. Subject coverage includes: psychosocial aspects of substance abuse, the political, social, economic, psychological and legal aspects of prevention and treatment of alcohol and other drug use. Both legal and illegal drugs are included.
  • Mura®  - the AIATSIS Catalogue the AIATSIS Audiovisual Archives and Library hold the world's premier collections relating to Australian indigenous studies and produce AIATSIS : indigenous studies bibliography which indexes published and unpublished material on Australian indigenous studies. Source documents include journal articles, newspapers, pamphlets, published government reports, published conference papers, book chapters, books, discussion and working papers, and published statistical documents.
  • Indigenous Australia database represents the collections of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission Library. It is a bibliographic database which includes abstracts for all videos, and some monographs and articles. Articles are indexed since 1970, books since 1980. The database indexes speeches, conference papers, pamphlets, booklets, ephemera, book chapters, journal and newspaper articles, parliamentary information, bills, explanatory memorandum, parliamentary debates (Hansard) cases, judgements including relevant overseas ones, internet sources, books, reports, theses, conference proceedings on Australian indigenous affairs published 1980 onwards.
  • AUSPORT : Australian sport database, produced by the National Sport Information Centre, Australian Sports Commission, is a bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts articles from published and unpublished material on all aspects of Australian sport since 1989. Source documents include journals, monographs, conference papers, government reports, theses, videotapes and audiocassettes
